Here is the process we are looking at for the Self-portrait project.
Present your blog post on 02.22.
Print your image in both black / white and color.
Trace your image. Find the highlights, mid-tones and shadows. Use a separate sheet of tracing paper for each color tonality.
Design a vector illustration.
Present: your concept and receive feedback.
Give feedback to others about their projects.
Submit your project.

Design Problem
Project 2 - Self-portraits, vector illustration will begin today.Collect info / research
Post to the blog by the beginning of class on 02.20.17Be sure to link back to the original images and attribute the creator.
- a minimum of 2 vector portraits
As always write a few sentences explaining your choice.
- a minimum 2 of any other vector illustrations
Label your post with the word "vector".
Present your blog post on 02.22.
Brainstorm and Analyze
Brainstorm your concept for your self-portrait. Think about the message you want to send to your audience; what should they take away from the final image.Develop Solutions
Sketch your concepts.
Take a photographic self-portrait (or selfie) that exemplifies your concept.
It is important to remember that everything within the composition of your image informs the viewer so be very aware of what is in the background of your image.
You may "composite" in a new background for your image during the creation process.
Creation
